Hello, my name is Rhonda Moffit.  I am very excited to be starting a new year in the  Desoto School District as the kindergarten through eighth grade Junior High TAG and Vineland and Athena Discovery teacher. This is my 14th year teaching.  I have taught all grade levels, special education and gifted. I graduated from Mineral Area College in 1992. I worked for the Walt Disney Company in Florida for years before moving back to Missouri and pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education through Central Methodist University while working as an Emergency Services Technician. After my Bachelor's Degree was completed, I earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Webster University, a Master of Science in Multidisciplinary Education from Capella University, and a Master of Arts in Communication Arts from Webster University in addition to completing my doctoral thesis and coursework through the University of Missouri Columbia. I will soon have all of my gifted certification completed through Truman University as well.  I graduated from Farmington High School and currently live in Farmington, Missouri.  I have been married to my husband  Martin, a USAF veteran and former NASA JPL employee,  for 20 years (we graduated high school together) and we have four amazing daughters together. Our oldest daughter is a teacher and the other three are still in school (two in college, one in high school). We have a dog named Pumpkin and in also run a local travel agency in our community.
